Everton’s 2021/22 third kit takes inspiration from the club’s illustrious history.
A white shirt with vertical navy and yellow stripe evokes memories of the change strip worn during the late 1960s by an array of Goodison Park icons.
Dave Hickson, Brian Labone and Bobby Collins are just three of the players that donned the memorable strip which kit makers Hummel have drawn on.
Rafael Benitez’s side will also don royal navy shorts and socks with yellow detailing and features the Danish sportswear manufacturers’ chevron pattern.
The Blues are set to sport the new strip for the first time on Wednesday, when they take on Mexican outfit Pumas in a Florida Cup exhibition match.
Everton midfielder Tom Davies said: “I’m a big fan of this kit.
“I’ve said before, I’d love to design a kit one day and I enjoy seeing the new kits each year – it takes you back to the excitement of being a kid.
“All three kits this year look really good, so it will be great to see the fans back in Goodison, and at stadiums around the country, supporting us and wearing these colours.”
Allan Vad Nielsen, Hummel’s CEO, said: “We are thrilled to be able to launch this season’s third kit and complete the set ready for the season’s big kick off on 14 August.
“As with the home and away kits, we wanted to produce something that would definitely mean something to Evertonians and lean on a small part of the Club’s storied past and give it a new significance in the present day.
“We also wanted to create a range of kits that were uniquely ‘Everton’, and that included coming up with three goalkeeper kits that were completely bespoke and that could stand-out in their own right.”
