Christophe Galtier has been backed as an ideal candidate for Everton manager.
Goodison Park chiefs are searching for Carlo Ancelotti’s replacement after he walked out on the club last week to take a second stint with Real Madrid.
Galtier brought down the curtain on a four-year spell in charge of Lille last month, just two days after guiding them to a first Ligue 1 title since 2011.
The 54-year-old is heavily linked with a return to the French top fiight with Nice but a former colleague believes he would be well suited to the Blues.
Luis Campos worked alongside Galtier during his three years as Lille’s sporting director and sees the Premier League as an ideal next destination for him.
“Christophe has all the qualities to coach in England,” he told Sky Sports News.
“Technically he is very astute and is extremely detailed in his planning when preparing a team.
“He likes a 4-4-2 system, which would fit with the Premier League and he is a fantastic motivator in the dressing room.
“He likes to build a side with quality and youth, he is someone that can develop a team ethic, and he is also a fantastic human being.”
Several candidates are being assessed by Everton including former boss David Moyes and Nuno Espirito Santo, who left Wolves at the end of last season.
But the Portuguese coach is set to join Crystal Palace while Moyes is unlikely to be lured away from West Ham, having securing European qualification.
