Everton have announced Cazoo as their new shirt sponsor in multi-year deal.
The partnership sees the online car retailer take over branding on the Blues’ shirts from the start of the 2020/21 season as a replacement for SportPesa.
Goodison Park officials severed ties with the Kenyan gaming firm in February, less than midway through the original five-year agreement signed in 2017.
Cazoo’s sponsorship is understood to be worth £10 million annually to Everton and reflects wholesale changes in the club’s kit deals from next season.
Hummel have already been confirmed as new kit suppliers while the sleeve sponsorship deal with Angry Birds is set to expire later this summer.
British entrepreneur Alex Chesterman is the current owner of Cazoo and counts leading tech brands LoveFilm and Zoopla among his portfolio.
Denise Barrett-Baxendale, Everton’s chief executive, said: “We have been impressed with the approach that Cazoo has taken and are confident that they will be a great partner for the club and our fans in the years to come.
“We are looking forward to working closely with them and are in no doubt that the values of Cazoo and the company’s focus on innovation and future development complement perfectly our own ambitions as we embark on an exciting new chapter for the club.”
The deal is not only the biggest non-gambling sponsorship in the Premier League’s history but also becomes the league’s current British-only brand.
Chesterman added: “We are really excited to be partnering with Everton, a family club with a rich heritage and a passionate and loyal fanbase.
“This opportunity will help significantly enhance our brand awareness as we look to make Cazoo a household name.
“We look forward to working closely with the club as part of our mission to provide the best possible car buying experience to UK consumers.”
