Everton youngster Ademola Lookman is set to join RB Leipzig on loan until the end of the season.
The winger has struggled for game time this season, making just 16 appearances in all competitions to date.
His last came in the Merseyside derby defeat to Liverpool in the FA Cup earlier this month.
Now he is set to head out on loan to Germany as the Blues look to secure him regular playing time elsewhere.
A deal has been struck with Bundesliga side Leipzig that will see the Under-20 World Cup winner spend the rest of the season on loan at the Red Bull Arena.
It is not stated whether the loan deal will include an option to make the move a permanent one in the summer, although that seems unlikely given how highly Lookman is rated at Goodison Park.
Sam Allardyce had categorically ruled out the 20-year-old being farmed out this season following Aaron Lennon’s move to Burnley.
“He wouldn’t be available on loan because Aaron Lennon went a few days ago,” he said on Monday.
“In the club’s eyes we got a good deal financially for Aaron, he was running out of contract this year so that was acceptable for us.
“That then leaves anybody else going out on loan in that position a no-no really.
“We need the squad to be available to play, we’ve used 36 players this year with injuries and the amount of games.
“We’ve got to try and keep the 25 man squad that he’s been in all season together.”
