Sam Allardyce has insisted that Ademola Lookman will not be leaving Everton on loan this month.
The youngster has struggled for game time since arriving at Goodison Park in the last January transfer window.
He currently finds himself as back up to Yannick Bolasie and Theo Walcott, despite impressing in glimpses this season.
It had been suggested that the 20-year-old could be sent out on loan to aid his development but Allardyce has insisted that will not be happening.
“He wouldn’t be available on loan because Aaron Lennon went a few days ago,” he said.
“In the club’s eyes we got a good deal financially for Aaron, he was running out of contract this year so that was acceptable for us.
“That then leaves anybody else going out on loan in that position a no-no really.
“We need the squad to be available to play, we’ve used 36 players this year with injuries and the amount of games.
“We’ve got to try and keep the 25 man squad that he’s been in all season together.”
