Everton winger Mirallas rejoins Olympiakos

Everton have confirmed that Kevin Mirallas has left to join Olympiakos on loan until the end of the season.

Mirallas will spend the remainder of this season with his old club after finding himself on the periphery at Goodison Park under both Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce.

The Belgian’s future has been undetermined since November following reports he had been sent home from training along with Morgan Schneiderlin by caretaker David Unsworth.

Although Schneiderlin has since revived his career under Allardyce, Mirallas has found himself behind Ademola Lookman, Nikola Vlasic and Yannick Bolasie.

His last start came in the Europa League group game against Apollon Limassol at the beginning of December, which the Blues won 3-0.

And Everton have now allowed him to return to Greece with Olympiakos, the club he departed for Merseyside back in 2012.

He becomes the second player to leave Goodison Park this week following Ross Barkley’s move to Chelsea on Friday.
