Louis van Gaal has no interest in becoming the next Everton manager.
Bookmakers shortened the odds on the former Ajax and Barcelona boss making a return to the Premier League barely 18 months after his first stint ended.
Van Gaal lifted the FA Cup at the end of his two seasons at Manchester United, only to be replaced by Jose Mourinho after missing out on a top four finish.
But the Dutchman, 66, has reportedly ruled himself out of the running for the Goodison Park hot seat and denied receiving any approaches from Everton.
Breaking: Louis van Gaal rules himself out of managerial role at Everton #EFC. Tell’s me he’s not had an offer & it’s not the project for him. Would return to the Premier League for a big (top 4) club.

Recently deposed Blues manager Ronald Koeman and Mourinho served as Van Gaal’s assistants during his first spell in charge at Barca in the late 1990s.
However the pair collided during Koeman’s own spell as Ajax manager in 2004, which prompted his compatriot to resign as the club’s technical director.
Everton are continuing to court Marco Silva despite Watford’s refusal to entertain approaches for their highly-rated coach.
