Everton are set to finally offload Oumar Niasse on transfer deadline day.
Niasse spent the second half of the previous season on loan with Hull City after he was frozen out of the Blues’ first-team setup by Ronald Koeman.
Several Premier League clubs have expressed an interest in taking on the Senegal international this summer including newcomers Brighton and Hove Albion.
But Crystal Palace appear most likely to offer Niasse an escape from his Goodison Park nightmare but are yet to agree a fee with their Everton counterparts.
Koeman is hoping to recoup £10 million from the striker’s sale, a £3.5m reduction on his much-maligned arrival from Lokamotiv Moscow in early 2016.
The 27-year-old failed to score in seven appearances during Roberto Martinez’s final months as Everton manager and has not featured under his successor.
He was exiled to the club’s under-23 side at the beginning of last season before joining Hull, where he recorded five goals in 18 competitive appearances.
