Kevin Mirallas has confirmed his Everton stay with a new three-year deal.
Blues chairman Bill Kenwright announced on Tuesday that the Belgium international would be offered a new ‘long-term’ contract later this week.
Just an hour before his side’s final Premier League home game of this season, Mirallas’ extended commitment to Everton until summer 2020 was confirmed.
The winger has enjoyed a renaissance in his Goodison Park career under the tutelage of Ronald Koeman, who has now called on him 36 times this term.
He said: “This contract is very important for me and my family. I am very happy here – this is the best club for me.
“I’ve been here five years and it’s very important for me to win a trophy here.
“I’ve said before that my dream is to win at least one trophy with Everton and I firmly believe we are heading in the right direction.
“We have an amazing manager, an amazing team, and amazing fans.
“This is an exciting time for the club. I hope we sign some top players to fight for the Champions League places next season.
“There’s also a big project with the new stadium, which the Chairman and Farhad Moshiri have been pushing forward with – and all of that is very important for me.”
