Tom Davies has been named the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for January after opening his Everton account.
The Blues midfielder beat a host of Prenier League stars to the award including Tottenham’s Dele Alli and Harry Kane, and Arsenal winger Alexis Sanchez.
Davies was a clear winner with over 25,000 of the votes cast by football fans for last month’s outstanding player while Alli was a distant second with 12,560.
Ronald Koeman afforded the 18-year-old his Everton debut in September but it was not until January that the youngster’s real impact was truly felt.
He recorded his first senior goal for the club as part of a man of the match performance in the 4-0 hammering of Manchester City at Goodison Park.
The nephew of Everton legend Alan Whittle also set up two of the goals in the heaviest league defeat of Pep Guardiola’s managerial career to date.
Davies also starred for Koeman’s side as they secured a late victory over Crystal Palace at the end of the month.
