Everton have continued the overhaul of their scouting set-up with the arrival of Laurence Stewart as a senior recruitment coordinator.
Stewart will be reunited with Blues director of football Steve Walsh, whom he worked with during their time together at Hull City several years ago.
The analyst’s CV also includes spells with both Manchester City and England as Walsh plans to further bolster his backroom options at Finch Farm.
He joins Martyn Glover, who has been named chief scout after leaving Sunderland this summer, in becoming part of Everton’s new-look operation.
“They are really good people and I’m really happy to have them here at the club,” said Walsh.
“I worked with Laurence previously at Hull City and he brings a great depth of technical knowhow, experience and overall knowledge.
“The same with Martyn who has been at Blackburn Rovers, West Ham, Leeds and Sunderland.
“They are really good guys to have on board.”
