Signature Living, the team behind the brand new £10M Dixie Dean Hotel have announced their opening date of July 12, 2019.
Stunning images of a £10m hotel which pays tribute to Everton football club’s greatest ever goal scorer have been released ahead of its glitzy opening later this month.
The Dixie Dean Hotel in Liverpool will celebrate the life and career of Dixie Dean who was a prolific goal scorer for Everton and England in the Twenties and Thirties.
The first phase of the hotel development will open with a swanky bash in Liverpool on 12 July which will be filled with famous faces from the world of sport and entertainment.
The 100-bedroom designer hotel will include the 160-cover “No.9” restaurant, after the shirt number worn by the much-loved football hero.
The hotel will also include a bar and opulent function suites for football inspired weddings.
Images released by hotel operator Signature Living today give a first-look inside the hotel bedrooms and showcase the hotel’s restaurant area.
Vibrant colours – including Everton’s royal and aqua blue – feature throughout the interior with deep luxurious upholstered chairs, sofas and fabrics.
The new hotel will sit yards across the road from its iconic sister hotel The Shankly, on Liverpool’s Victoria Street.
Lawrence Kenwright from hotel operator Signature Living said: “The Dixie Dean hotel is a modern boutique style hotel which not only celebrates Everton football club and Dixie Dean, it also embraces the iconic past and grandeur of the Grade II listed building in which we’re opening it.
A great deal of care and attention to detail has gone into making the most of the existing rustic furnishings but we’re also incorporating memorabilia and artefacts from Dixie Dean’s football glory days.
The Dixie Dean, just like the Shankly Hotel, will become landmark destination in Liverpool and add to the city’s vibrant hotel and tourism offer. We’ve already got a huge waiting list of people who want to hold weddings and events at the hotel.
The first phased of the hotel including the restaurant and bar will open this month with the first guests staying early in July. Everyone at Signature Living is incredibly proud of this development and I’m confident people from all over the world will enjoy it.”
