With the Betfred British Masters on the horizon, May is tee-ing up to be an exciting month for golf in the north-west.
Formby Hall Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa, is welcoming the first ever YT Golf Day hosted by online golf personality and PGA professional, Rick Shiels – in support of Prostate Cancer UK.
Rick Shiels, the world’s most watched online golf personality with over 512,000 subscribers and 160 million views, is to welcome some of the world’s most influential social media content creators to Formby Hall Hotel for a competition like no other.
Those taking part include father & son duo ‘What’s Inside’ (6.5 million YouTube subscribers), Me and My Golf (540,000 YouTube subscribers), coach Peter Finch (188,000 subscribers), as well as stars of theLadies European Tour, Sophie Walker and Carly Booth, Geordie Shore’s Gaz Beadle and Britain’s tallest man (and former Harlem Globetrotter) Paul Sturges. Across each of the creator’s channels, the day has the potential to reach almost 19 million people around the world.
Alongside the social media super stars, forty lucky winners have been invited to take part in the competition, making-up the 18 teams of four players – and the event is open to the general public, who can attend to watch their favourite social media creators, and take part in charity challenges supported by the likes of Callaway, Titleist and TaylorMade.

The competition begins with a shotgun start at 3pm and will be followed by a winner’s presentation and an evening celebration event.
