Liverpool One spreads the love on Blue Monday

Liverpool ONE is spreading the love in the city centre today (Monday 15 January) by leaving free flowers for unsuspecting shoppers and commuters to take, in a bid to brighten their Monday.  The third Monday in January has become known as Blue Monday, supposedly the most depressing day in the year.

A hundred bouquets, packaged into pairs have appeared on the streets of Liverpool ONE for visitors to the retail and leisure destination. Those lucky enough to find the bright blooms are encouraged to share the love and pass on a bunch to a friend, loved one or even a stranger.

Donna Howitt, marketing director at Liverpool ONE, said: “We hope this has brought a smile to the faces of visitors today. It is a little cheerful gesture to our customers many of whom will be passing through on their way to work.

“It would be great to see if this will set off a chain of positivity across the city where everyone will be spreading the love in Liverpool!”

Anyone who receives a bouquet is encouraged to share it on social media.
