Epstein Theatre hosting a jam-packed month of spectacular shows

The Epstein Theatre is in for a busy month with a host of exciting shows taking place throughout July.

Starting on this evening, the Wigan and Leigh College: End of Year Performance will put on a spectacular night of lyrical dance, musical theatre and acting.

The performances will be choreographed by former West End leading actor Graham Tudor, while Wigan native and Hollyoakes actor Holly Noble, will comper the enticing performances.

This weekend on Friday 7 and Saturday 8, get ready to do your best ‘bend and snap’ as Legally Blonde The Musical based on the hit film, comes to the iconic theatre.

It tells the story of Elle Wood, In a bid to win her ex-boyfriend back, tries impressing him by getting a law degree then ends up defending a work-out queen in a murder trial.

The Heath Performing Arts Academy have teamed up with LIPA 4:19 for the third year to present their end of year musical and theatrical performances on Sunday July 9.

An Evening With Stuart Broadman on Saturday July 15, gives an extraordinary insight into the life of Broadman growing up on Scottie Road to avoiding German bombs during the War.

Celebrating their 10th anniversary at The Epstein Theatre on July 16, Treads will showcase an exciting fusion of their work over the past decade and perform new material too.

July’s busy schedule at the theatre concludes on July 27 with Gary Murphy’s Guitar Legends: The Rock and Roll Years.

Gary and his band will perform hits from the likes of Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and more. BBC Radio Merseyside’s Billy Butler will give insight into the tracks on the night.

Theater manager, Rebekah Pichilingi, said: “There’s plenty to choose from this July as we welcome a whole host of talent to The Epstein Theatre. It’s that time of year again and we are delighted to welcome local youngsters for their end of year showcases. With music and comedy also on the line up this month, there’s no better place for top quality entertainment!”
