Liverpool will become home to its first Velocity Trampoline Park later this year.
The leisure company’s plans for a new trampoline park on a site located a short distance from Speke’s New Mersey Shopping Park have been approved.
Opening its doors in late 2017, Velocity’s first branch in the city follows its success in Widnes and Wigan, and will offer a refreshing state-of-the-art concept.
Headed by husband and wife duo Steven and Cheryl Cosgrove, the group also operates two Fun Town children’s soft play centres in Garston and Prescot.
Steven Cosgrove, Managing Director of Velocity Leisure, said: “With the leisure industry constantly evolving and our successful venues already under our portfolio, we wanted to do something different and create a concept that was totally unique, bringing a breath of fresh air to Liverpool.
“By working closely alongside Peel, we have drawn up exciting plans to build a high-specification site featuring world-class equipment and a modern aesthetic.
“Our newest venue will create 50 full-time and part-time jobs, and will be home to popular features such as trampolines together with totally new additions.
“In order to appeal to everyone of all ages rather than solely children, we will introduce more grown-up activities such as a Ninja Warrior inspired obstacle-course and a tower jump area.
“We also wanted to put a strong focus on accessibility, so not only is our new park conveniently located, it will also house 150 car parking spaces over two-acres.”
