Jimmy’s launches crowdfunding ahead of Liverpool opening

The launch of a Jimmy’s crowdfunding campaign is giving music lovers the opportunity to invest in the future of the North West’s grassroots gigging scene and become a part of the brand’s journey.

With an already established venue in Manchester’s Northern Quarter approaching its third birthday and a second, 8,000 sq. ft. Liverpool site to open soon, brothers-turned-business partners and directors of Jimmy’s, George and Jimmy Craig, are on a mission to bring the UK’s most exciting artists to its venues and to create a platform for musicians of the past, present and future.

After just two days, the campaign got off to a flying start towards its £250,000 target, with supporters from the North West and beyond receiving one-of-a-kind rewards such as lifetime shareholder discounts, a place on the Jimmy’s ‘Wall of Legends’, exclusive merchandise, gig guestlist passes and even a night out with the owners to name just a few.

George said: “It’s quite overwhelming to see the support coming in – not just for Jimmy’s as a growing business but for the music community here in Liverpool and Manchester. Venues have been closing their doors right across the UK, and for musicians and music fans alike that’s really worrying so it means a lot to us in the Jimmy’s team that we can help to turn the tide by creating a new stage and investing in the future of Liverpool’s incredible gigging scene and upcoming artists.

“Liverpool is where it all started for us – we’ve both played here and our band, One Night Only, was discovered in the Cavern Club. It means a lot to come back and give something back. Liverpool has made us feel included in something really exciting and we want to say thank you to the city with a chance to be part of the Jimmy’s family and invest in a venue that will spotlight up and coming artists for years to come.”

Following the recent £500,000 investment into a total refurbishment of the historic Cabin Club building, Jimmy’s is offering supporters the chance to own a piece of Liverpool music history by becoming a shareholder in both the Liverpool and Manchester businesses.

Jimmy added: “Jimmy’s is all about good beer, good music, good food and good times, and those who know us know that we do like to have a bit of fun along the way, so our top reward gives one lucky supporter the chance to create their own Michelangelo style canvas artwork on the ceiling of Jimmy’s Liverpool.

“There are so many ways to get involved, and we really can’t wait to see where this next phase in our journey will take us.”
