A trio of 1980s music icons are heading to Liverpool later this year.
Boy George and Culture Club will perform at the city’s M&S Bank Arena on Friday, December 11 as part of their latest UK arena tour ‘The Singles Tour’.
A full celebration of their chart-topping legacy will feature hit singles ‘Karma Chameleon’ and ‘Do You Really Want To Hurt Me’ and ‘Church of the Poison Mind’.
Legendary English pop group ABC and the Platinum selling Brit-funk band Haircut 100.have also been confirmed as special guests for the evening.
With a career spanning over 30 years, Boy George and Culture Club shot to international stardom as one of the UK’s biggest 20th century music exports.
Exploding onto the scene in 1982, they sent shockwaves around the world and changed popular culture forever, simultaneously shifting perception in music, fashion and art.
In 1984, the band picked up the Grammy Award for Best New Artists, and the awards for Best British Group and Best British Single at the BRIT Awards.
They became the first group since The Beatles to have three Top 10 hits in the USA from a debut album, and the first in history to have an album certified diamond in Canada.
The New Romantic pop sensations went on to achieve seven UK Top 10 singles, nine Top 10 singles in the USA, and nine Top 20 singles in Australia.
Tickets go on pre-sake from 9.30am on Thursday, May 28 with general sale released at the same time on Friday, May 29.
