Everton are closing in on the signing of Southampton winger Tyler Dibling.
Negotations for the England under-21 international had reached an impasse earlier this summer with his current employers seeking a £45 million package.
That figure would have seen him become the joint record signing for David Moyes’ side, equalling Gylfi Sigurdsson’s 2017 arrival from Swansea City.
A 20% sell-on fee was also included in the South Coast club’s demands for the teenage prospect, which saw the Blues cool their interest in him.
But the Saints have now reignited talks over Dibling’s move to Hill Dickinson Stadium, which will now amount to just over £40M with add-ons included.
The 19-year-old will become Everton’s eighth signing of the summer window as Moyes continues to seeks fresh options ahead of September’s deadline.
