Everton have confirmed that Hill Dickinson Stadium’s capacity will be reduced.
David Moyes’ side are set to kick off their first season in the impressive 52,888-seat home on the banks of the river Mersey from the beginning of August.
A warm-up friendly with Roma will take place a fortnight before the Blues welcome Brighton in their first competitive fixture at the stadium in the Premier League.
But the official allocation has been downscaled by 119 seats to 52,729.
A post-construction review of the venue has taken several factors into account including home and away fan segregation as well as media provisions.
The reduction only represents 0.2% of the overall capacity and has not affected any seats purchased by season ticket holders during the original take-up window.
