Simon Ross is set to return as Everton’s official stadium announcer.
The renowned radio presenter became synonymous with matchdays at Goodison Park during a 10-year period as the stadium’s official voice.
But ahead of the Blues’ long goodbye to their spiritual home this season, it has been confirmed that ‘Rossie’ will resume his duties on the microphone.
Everton also confirmed that his predecessor Graeme White, who held the role for the last nine seasons, will remain part of its pool of hosts and presenters.
Rossie’s return is among several changes the club are making to matchday and half-time entertainment to mark Goodison’s final season in existence.
“It is so exciting to have the opportunity to return to Goodison Park as the matchday stadium announcer and I can’t wait to get started,” said Ross.
“This is going to be a very special season in the club’s history – and I’m thrilled to be able to play a small part in bidding farewell to the Grand Old Lady over the next 10 months.”
