Arnaut Danjuma is on the verge of securing a loan move to Everton.
The Netherlands international had previously been set for a temporary switch to Merseyside in January before joining Tottenham in a last minute U-turn.
But Danjuma’s spell in north London failed to live up to expectations as he scored just two goals in 12 appearances for the Blues’ Premier League rivals.
Now, the 26-year-old is set to revive his proposed move to Goodison Park with talks between the club and Villarreal understood to be progressing well.
Sean Dyche has made adding firepower to his ranks a priority after his side narrowly escaped relegation from the top flight for a second season running.
Everton completed the signing of Dyche’s former Watford teammate Ashley Young, 38, on a free transfer as their first business of the summer window.
