Liverpool have confirmed four first-team players will depart this summer.

Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita will all sever ties with Anfield once the current campaign ends later this month.

The quartet won every major club honour during their times with the Reds including the 2019 Champions League and long-awaited Premier League title.

Firmino became the most utilised player of Klopp’s entire management spell during his eight-year spell, making 352 appearances in all competitions.

The Brazil international, 32, had already confirmed plans to leave at the beginning of March as he looks to pursue the next chapter of his career.

Both the forward and Milner joined Liverpool in summer 2015, mere months before their current manager was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’ successor.

The former Manchester City midfielder’s strong versatility saw him deployed in an array of roles to cope with squad issues including spells as a full-back.

He was also installed as vice-captain shortly after his arrival as an understudy to Jordan Henderson, who stepped up following Steven Gerrard’s departure.

Oxlade-Chamberlain and Keita, meanwhile, saw their respective careers disrupted by injury despite enjoying fleeting personal moments on the pitch.

Ahead of Saturday’s final home game of the season against Aston Villa, Liverpool confirmed they will be paying tribute to all four outgoing players.
