Everton have been hit with a third Football Association fine this season.

Sean Dyche’s side were previously sanctioned by English football’s governing body following disciplinary issues in games with Crystal Palace and Liverpool.

But the Blues found themselves facing further charges over last month’s win against Leeds United, where a melee broke out midway through the first half.

Tensions flared between players from both sides at Goodison Park after Tyler Adams appeared to shove Dwight McNeil into the advertising hoardings.

Four players were subsequently booked for their part in the skirmishes, which saw both Everton and Leeds charged with failing to control their players.

The FA imposed fines on both clubs on Friday, with the visitors given a £35,000 penalty while Goodison chiefs received a more severe £55,000.

Everton’s latest sanction of £15,000 more than their Anfield fine last month was due to repeat offences being taken into account by the governing body.
