Farhad Moshiri insists Frank Lampard’s fate at Everton is ‘not his decision’.

Moshiri broke a 15-month absence from attending games of the club where he is a 94.1% majority shareholder for Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to West Ham.

He joined Blues’ chairman Bill Kenwright, director of football Kevin Thelwell, CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale and Graeme Sharp at the London Stadium.

But when pressed on whether a decision on Lampard’s 12-month reign would be taken, the British-Iranian billionaire claimed that he had no direct influence.

“I can’t comment,” he told Sky Sports News.

“It’s not my decision.”

Kenwright remained similarly noncommittal after seeing Lampard’s side remain mired in the Premier League’s relegation zone with a fifth defeat in six games.

He said: “It’s been a bad run of results for us all and for Frank.

“We’ve just got to start winning, haven’t we? It’s a bad time.”
