Everton launch ‘Prince Rupert’ themed new kit

Everton have unveiled their new home kit for the 2022/23 campaign.

Frank Lampard’s side will line up in the latest offering from Hummel which pays a strong homage to the club’s iconic Prince Rupert’s Tower motif.

A heat embossed pattern of the tower, situated in Everton Park, is repeated throughout the crew-neck jersey with contrasting white flashes on each side.

Hummel’s trademark chevron sleeves have also been scaled back from four to two, allowing the striking contrast in the overall design to take centre stage.

Together, the embossed pattern and flashes create an eye-catching visual effect further enhanced when seen under the floodlights at Goodison Park.

As with the Blues’ strips in recent seasons, another tribute to Prince Rupert’s Tower sits at the nape of the neck as a strong part of the club’s identity.

The new goalkeeper kit also contains a green and black graphic swirl inspired by the club’s nickname of The Toffees and the tradition of the Everton Mint.

Richard Kenyon, Director of Communications, Revenue and International Growth, said: “I’m sure Evertonians everywhere will appreciate this year’s home kit, which merges traditional elements of our brand with a modern styling.

“We’ve used our updated tower icon more extensively across the club over the last few months so it’s great to see it form part of the pattern within our latest home kit.

“It’s another strong kit, delivered by our technical partner hummel, and we thank them for their hard work in creating it and look forward to revealing our away and third kits with them later this summer.”

The new Everton home kit is available to buy online evertondirect.com from 8am on Friday, July 1, and in-store at Everton One and Everton Two.
