Frank Lampard has revealed Richarlison is ‘desperate’ to play at Wembley.

Everton could move a step closer to reaching England’s national stadium when they face Boreham Wood in their FA Cup fifth round tie on Thursday.

And Lampard underlined how the prospect lining up beneath its iconic arch spurs on Richarlison, already an Olympic and Copa America winner for Brazil.

He said: “I was chatting football with Richy today and he was saying how desperate he is to play at Wembley and that is because of the history of the stadium.

“I was fortunate enough to play a lot at Wembley and it is a magical place.

“We are two games from doing that. There are some tough teams in the draw for the next round but that carrot is the one we’ll aim for.”
