Dan Meis has rejoined Everton’s project team for Bramley-Moore Dock.
Meis designed the blueprint for the 52,888-capacity area which is currently being built in the north Liverpool docks and previosly led fan workshops.
The 60-year-old’s remit came to a natural end in the summer of 2020.
But the Blues confirmed on Friday that the renowned stadium architect will undertake a new remit as part of the construction phase of the project.
Meis’ new position is described as a ‘guardianship role’ by the Goodison Park hierarchy, who are targeting a 2023 opening date for their future home.
Everton chairman Bill Kenwright said: “Dan has been an important part of our stadium journey so far and we are pleased he has accepted this new role.
“In working alongside both our in-house and external teams, Dan will be joining some of the best technical talents in the country throughout the exciting construction phase of the project.”
