Allan is set to make his return to Everton training within the next 10 days.
The Brazil international has not featured for Carlo Ancelotti’s side since suffering a hamstring injury during last month’s win over Leicester City.
Sunday’s FA Cup fourth round tie with Sheffield Wednesday has come too early for Allan, as will a triple header against the Foxes, Newcastle and Leeds.
However the midfielder, 30, is expected to be available in time for the Blues’ trip to current Premier League leaders Manchester United on February 8.
Ancelotti confirmed on Friday that Allan is one of six players who will not be in ready to face the Owls in this weekend’s cup encounter at Goodison Park.
He said: “Unfortunately we have some players out, like (Jean-Philippe) Gbamin, Allan, (Fabian) Delph, (Lucas) Digne, (Alex) Iwobi and (Niels) Nkounkou.
“But the others are in good condition, ready to play this game and ready to compete in this competition because it is important.
“The FA Cup for us is very important.”
The Everton manager also confirmed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be included in Sunday’s squad after shaking his own recent hamstring problem.
And Ancelotti has refused to discount the prospect of the Sheffield-born striker starting against his hometown club after missing the last two matches.
“We have back Calvert-Lewin for the game,” added the Italian.
“Honestly, I want to put out the best line-up possible for the game against Sheffield, because we don’t want to think about Leicester [next Wednesday].
“The Leicester game is after, we want to move on in this competition and I think Dominic can start.
“He trained well, he’s in a good physical condition and so I think he can play.”
