Mina out for rest of Everton’s season

Yerry Mina has been ruled out of the final weeks in Everton’s 2019/20 season.

Mina suffered a tear in his left quad muscle during training last week, which will now sideline him for the end of the current Premier League campaign.

The Colombia international becomes the second Blues player to suffer a fitness setback following Jean-Philippe Gbamin’s lay-off with an Achilles injury.

Goodison Park officials say that he is ‘making good progress’ during his early stages of rehabilitation but the 25-year-old will be out for the next few weeks.

Mina has been a near ever-present for Everton this season with 29 appearances which included becoming a mainstay under Carlo Ancelotti.
