Everton launch throwback away kit

Everton have revealed a throwback design for their 2019/20 away kit.

Marco Silva’s side will wear the coral and navy strip on their travels in the upcoming season and has design roots steeped in Goodison Park’s history.

Umbro included a two-tone sash effect on the shirt as a tribute to the one worn by the Blues’ ‘Black Watch’ team during their title-winning campaign in 1891.

The kit, which will be worn for the first time in Wednesday’s friendly with Wigan, also triggers more echoes of Everton’s change strips from 1992/93 and 2001/02.

Theo Walcott said: “I’m into this kit. It’s clean looking and also feels really good and lightweight.

“No one can say they won’t be able to see their teammates on the pitch, that’s for sure. Let’s hope we can deliver the goods wearing it throughout 2019/20.

“It’s great to see the technical developments of the kits each year.”

Everton and Umbro have also produced another St. Domingo ‘shirtzine’ to accompany the launch which features interviews with Bernard and Lucas Digne.

Fans can pre-order the new kit from 9am on Thursday, July 25 through evertondirect.com or visiting the official Everton One or Everton Two Stores.

The kit will be on sale in stores from Thursday, August 1.
