Nikola Vlasic has left Everton to join CSKA Moscow on a permanent deal.
Vlasic spent last season on loan with the Russian Premier League side after making just 19 appearances in all competitions for the Blues in 2017/18.
He scored the winning goal for Viktor Goncharenko’s side as they stunned Real Madrid during the Champions League group stages in October last year.
The Croatia international, 21, is currently representing his country at the European under-21 Championships but has agreed a five-year contract with CSKA.
Everton are understood to have recouped around £14 million from Vlasic’s sale, a £4m profit on their initial outlay to sign him from Hajduk Split two years ago.
They will also receive a percentage of any future transfer fees should CSKA sell on the midfielder during the length of his existing deal until summer 2024.
Vlasic scored a first-half equaliser for Croatia in their opening Euro U21 Championships defeat to Romania in San Marino on Tuesday night.
