Find Inspiration at the Liverpool Food, Drink and Lifestyle Spring Festival this April

The Liverpool Food, medicine Drink and Lifestyle Spring Festival is taking place at Sefton Park on Saturday April 23 and Sunday April 24. The event is a sister event of the original Liverpool Food and Drink Festival. Festival goers can enjoy new zones related to lifestyle, including homes, gardening, body, mind and crafts.

The site will be divided into five separate areas, which will all have their own look and feel. If you are feeling a bit peckish, head along to The Meadow, where many of the best independent local food producers will be tempting you with their delicious wares. The Wood Lands section is where you will find rural crafts and interesting creative pastimes.

Tickets are available for £5 in advance, or you can buy a ticket on the day. Kids aged 13 and under go free.

A Family Day Out

Stuck for something to do at the weekend? The Liverpool Food, Drink and Lifestyle Spring Festival is a great family day out. Parents, grandparents and kids of all ages will find plenty to keep them entertained. There is an interactive children’s area where kids can enjoy lots of fun activities.

Food and Drink

The organisers are hoping for fine weather on the day, and if the sun does shine, you will find plenty of seating areas where you can enjoy a picnic in the fresh air. You don’t need to take any food or drink, however, as there will be numerous food and drink outlets selling a wide range of tasty, locally produced snacks, drinks, artisan coffee, hand-made chocolate, and of course ice cream.

The Crayfish Boil is likely to be a huge draw for festival goers. Buy a ticket and await your turn to tuck into freshly prepared cray fish. It will be messy, but napkins are provided!

You should also make time to check out cooking demos from a range of top chefs over the course of the weekend. Learn how to prepare lots of weird and wonderful food concoctions. It’s a great place for budding foodies to hone their cookery skills and pick up some free goody bags.

Give Your Home a Makeover

If your home is in desperate need of a makeover this year, have a good look around the festival in search of inspiration. The home section is an excellent place to start, as this is where you will find local companies selling interesting and innovative products for the home.

Visit the gardening section and pick up a few great ideas for your garden. There are bound to be a few things you can try at home and the festival might inspire you to start a new project this summer, such as your own garden cinema! Even if you don’t feel like embarking on a complex DIY project, you can have a leisurely stroll around the gardening exhibits and dream of what your garden might look like if you won the lottery.

Be sure to check out the Liverpool Food, Drink and Lifestyle Spring Festival – it’s likely to be a winner.
