Liverpool restaurants offer 50% Black Friday deal to help homeless

Popular dining out deals app, The Dealer is offering up to 50% off food and drink at some of Liverpool’s most popular restaurants and bars during Black Friday week, and raising money for homeless charities in the process.

The free smartphone app will offer huge discounts at 8 of Liverpool’s favourite restaurants and in return asks customers to donate to charities committed to fighting homelessness.

The Dealer App will be packed with its largest number of discounts ever during Black Friday week, 20 November – 26 November –  giving users access to exclusive 50% off deals, available all day and all week, and which cannot be found anywhere else.

The app has raised almost £500 for homeless charities since its launch just four weeks ago.

Customers simply choose a deal within the app, arrive at the venue and get staff to enter their unique pin code, the app then gives you the opportunity to return a small amount of the money it has saved you back to charities fighting homelessness in Liverpool, if you want to. This is processed when you have pledged £5, at which point you enter your card details into the app.

Some of Liverpool’s biggest and most popular restaurants will be taking part, with discounts available at Hispanic inspired Alma De Cuba, tapas and cocktail spot Epicured, classic comfort food cutch Clockworks, Albert Docks hideout Teddy’s, coffee and cake favourite Dale Street Eatery, as well as Whiskey emporium Mackenzie’s.

Donations from the app will go to Liverpool-based The Whitechapel Centre, a leading homeless and housing charity, which helps people find and maintain a home and learn the life skills essential for independent living.

Edward Alun-Jones, director at The Dealer App, said: “Taking part in Black Friday gives us the opportunity to bring an even larger number of discounts to Liverpool residents, while providing an extra chance and incentive to donate to local homeless charities, which is especially important at this time of year.

“We have raised hundreds of pounds so far for our homeless charity partners and we hope to help continue to combat the growing homelessness issue in Liverpool and the UK by placing the issue at the centre of everything we do.

“By giving people the opportunity to give back after they have saved, we hope to raise additional funds for charities and services that are stretched by government cuts. As well as money, we also contribute the time of our employees to homeless charities every week.”

The Dealer works with seven homeless charities across the UK and has chosen Liverpool’s Whitechapel Centre as its regional partner, an organisation which aims to create choice and opportunity for people who are homeless and marginalised.

The app aims to shake up the way vendors list and advertise promotions, and intends to directly impact the number of new customers that visit the restaurant and ultimately boost restaurant revenue.

The Dealer App is available to download on both the Apple and Android App stores, and is currently running similar restaurants partnerships in Oxford, Manchester, Liverpool, and Cambridge.
