Sean Dyche flattered by Everton hot seat links

Sean Dyche says he is flattered to be linked with vacant Everton hot seat.

The Blues parted company with Ronald Koeman on Monday following a dismal run of form that had seen them win just three games in all competitions.

David Unsworth has been placed in temporary charge and is expected to remain in the position until the upcoming international break at the earliest.

He is currently the odds-on favourite to be Koeman’s permanent successor, with some reports claiming he is chairman Bill Kenwright’s preferred candidate.

Behind the Everton under-23 coach in the bookmaker’s odds is Burnley boss Dyche, who he admits that he is flattered to be linked to the role.

He said: “I have said a few times, you are always flattered as it recognises the work that myself, the players and the clubs so.

“I mentioned last week different links with different clubs have come around.

“They are other people’s stories, not mine. It doesn’t play on the mind at all, I just get on with it.

“I’ve had the experience of those links the last few years and I’ve continued to get on with it.”
