Ross Barkley has been valued at £50 million by Everton as his future remains unresolved.
With Ronald Koeman’s deadline of this Sunday for a decision fast approaching, the midfielder is still unlikely to pen a contact extension with the Blues.
Should Barkley refuse to agree terms, Koeman’s warning that he will be sold this summer could now come to fruition.
Tottenham have been tipped as potential suitors for the England international, who will enter the final 12 months of his current Goodison Park deal this summer.
But Barkley will not be allowed to leave Everton for a cut-price fee, with the new £50m price tag reflecting the club’s stance in John Stones’ exit to Manchester City.
Stones eventually moved to the Etihad Stadium, where he has enjoyed mixed success, in a deal worth £47.5m last August.
