‘Striped Pyjamas’ author holding Liverpool talk

Award-winning author John Boyne is set to speak in Liverpool this month.

The man behind several literary offerings including ‘The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas’ will be appearing at the Eleanor Rathbone Building on Thursday, February 16.

Boyne’s visit is part of an evening that Blackwell’s Bookshop is holding in conjunction with the University of Liverpool’s Institute of Irish Studies.

Following a discussion, John will be signing copies of his brand new novel ‘The Heart’s Invisible Furies’ which is set to be go on general release on February 9.

The book tells the story of Ireland over the past seven decades, seen through the eyes of one, ordinary man.

Tickets for the event at the Lesley Hearnshaw Theatre, which starts at 6pm, are free but must be booked in advance.
