Belinda Carlisle to close UK anniversary tour in Liverpool

Belinda Carlisle will perform in Liverpool for the first time in six years.

The American music legend, 58, has confirmed the city’s Olympia will be the final date of her UK tour to mark the 30th anniversary of her ‘Heaven on Earth’ album.

Carlisle will be performing a selection of tracks taken from her 1987 debut solo offering along with impressive back catalogue of material on October 7.

She originally rose to fame in the early 1980s as the lead singer of all-girl band the Go-Go’s, which sold eight million albums in just three years.

But it was her solo career, launched in 1985, which truly catapulted her with a series of hits including ‘Circle in the Sand’, ‘Leave a Light On’ and ‘We Want The Same Thing’.

Tickets go on sale from 9am on Friday, January 20 from the Olympia box office. Call 0844 8000 410 or visit www.liverpoololympia.com.
