Gerard Deulofeu is on the verge of securing a January move to AC Milan.
The winger has struggled to cement a regular starting role for Everton this season and is understood to be keen on pursuing first-team football elsewhere.
Milan are set to provide Deulofeu with a temporary escape from his current Goodison Park by taking him on loan for the second half of the campaign.
However MARCA claim that the Serie A giants are unwilling to make their deal for the Spain international a long-term one with no option to buy at the end of the loan.
Deulofeu has scored just four times in 45 outings for the Blues since sealing a permanent return to Goodison Park from Barcelona in summer 2015.
Ronald Koeman claimed on Thursday that he had yet to receive any offers for the 22-year-old but would sit down with the player and address his concerns.
He said: “There is no offer [for Deulofeu] and we like to keep everybody in.
“But if there is a player who is not happy about his situation then we will talk to player and we will find a solution.”
He originally scored four times in 29 outings during his debut season under Roberto Martinez, which saw Everton qualify for the Europa League.
