Michael Frayn’s hilarious Noises Off comes to Epstein Theatre

Chaos is sure to ensue when Noises Off comes to Liverpool next month.

An adaptation of Michael Frayn’s classic play will run at the city’s Epstein Theatre for two nights on January 27 and 28.

Guaranteed to have your ribs aching, watch as the hilarity unfolds as audiences are given a behind-the-scenes look as to the goings on backstage in this classic English farce which shows the unseen side to theatre.

It’s opening night. The stage is set. But, it’s set for disaster as the cast are in a frenzy during the final dress rehearsal.

The stage management can’t cope with the pressure, the director is trying to whip them all into shape and the actors are having problems of their own and desperately underprepared.

Expect missed cues, forgotten lines, comical gags and a whole host of fun as you discover whether they can keep it together for their first show.

With a cast including Tom Platt who originally hails from St Helens before going on to London’s prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and Liverpool’s very own Vikki Earle, Noises Off is a must-see production.

It will be a miracle if they make it through to curtain call so be sure you book your seats now and witness the mayhem in a show filled with plenty of laughs and a comedy that you won’t forget.

Rebekah Pichilingi, the Epstein Theatre’s general manager, said: “We are very excited to welcome this very funny show to the Epstein Theatre which is guaranteed to have the audience rolling in the aisles with laughter!”
