Balotelli makes Liverpool FC exit plea to unwanted Sakho

Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli has urged Mamadou Sakho to consider linking up with him at Nice after falling out of favour at Anfield.

Sakho last played for the Reds in April and has failed to force his way back into Jurgen Klopp’s plans despite being cleared by UEFA of a failed drugs test.

A January exit appears the most likely outcome for the French defender, who has finally come to terms with his Liverpool career coming to an end.

And Balotelli, who has enjoyed a new lease of life since trading Merseyside for Nice, has urged his former team mate to consider making the same move.

He said: “I speak with him from time to time.

“I said to him: ‘What a waste a player like you is not playing’.

“He has to leave. I said to him: ‘If you want, come to Nice.’

“I am going to speak to him about it. In January, it would be good.”
