Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva could be in line for a move to Besiktas this summer.
Earlier this week the Brazilian admitted that his future at Anfield appears increasingly uncertain after failing to find favour in the current pecking order.
“It is the first transfer window that Klopp will participate more actively in for Liverpool,” he told Radio Jovem Pan.
“I’ll have a better idea when I return [for pre-season].
“Whatever happens, the idea, as always, is to remain in Europe, mainly in England, which has a very strong and good league to play in.”
Besiktas saw a previous approach for Lucas, with a season-long loan, rejected by the Reds last summer but are set to rekindle their interest according to Turkish Football.
With Martin Skrtel on the verge of a move to Fenerbahce, the 29-year-old will stand as Liverpool’s longest-serving player after making 315 appearances since joining in 2007.
