Sturridge makes loan offer to Serie A

Daniel Sturridge has reportedly offered himself on loan to Inter Milan.

The Liverpool striker is struggling for regular playing time this season amid fears he will miss out on a place in England’s World Cup squad over the summer.

Sturridge made just five starts in his 12 appearances to date for Jurgen Klopp’s side and is looking beyond Anfield to improve his on-field opportunities.

And reports in Italy claim that Inter are the 28-year-old’s current port of call.

The Nerazzurri are devoid of backup options for their leading frontman Mauro Icardi, who is said to be attracting regular interest from Real Madrid.

According to Tuttosport, Sturridge has offered to ease that burden by reaching out to inter with the proposal of a six-month loan deal at the San Siro.

Klopp has so far resisted the temptation to offload his peripheral marksman, whose Anfield contract expires in 18 months’ time.
