Barcelona are reportedly planning a last-ditch bid to land Philippe Coutinho.
The Catalans previously set a deadline of last weekend for Liverpool to accept their £114 million offer for the playmaker before it was withdrawn.
However reports in Spain suggest that Barca have prepared one final attempt to land Coutinho as their main transfer target in a disappointing summer.
Coutinho has already submitted a transfer request to Liverpool but is understood to be preparing reconciliation talks with Jurgen Klopp.
But Sport insist that Barcelona are preparing to table a fourth and final £138 million offer for the Brazil international to the Anfield hierarchy.
According to the report, £101m of that fee would be an up-front figure with the remainder comprising of a number of performance-related clauses.
Barca’s sporting director Robert Fernandez has travelled to Merseyside in attempts to convince Liverpool to part with Coutinho before August 31.
Liverpool have rejected bids of £72m and £90.2m for the 25-year-old, who signed a new five-year deal in January
