Liverpool have turned down Napoli’s £11 million bid for Alberto Moreno.
Moreno struggled to stake a regular claim in Jurgen Klopp’s side last season and the defender is widely expected to leave the Reds this summer.
But Napoli’s attempts to convince Anfield officials to part with the former Spain international have fallen short, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The Serie A club’s offer was below the current £15m asking price for Moreno, who has also attracted interest from Italian giants Inter and AC Milan.
Former club Sevilla are also said to be pursuing a deal for the 24-year-old.
La Liga counterparts Atletico Madrid attempted to take Moreno on loan during the January transfer window but saw their approach spurned by Liverpool.
Moreno made just 12 Premier League outings and 18 in all competitions as he failed to displace midfielder James Milner for a starring role at left-back.
