Aubameyang wants record Liverpool FC move

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is keen on a record-breaking move to Liverpool.

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain were both interested in the playmaker but reports in his native France claim that the Reds are now forerunners.

Jurgen Klopp took Aubameyang to Borussia Dortmund in 2013, during his time in charge of the Bundesliga side, and is now keen on a reunion on Merseyside.

According to Le Parisien, the Anfield hierarchy are preparing to meet Dortmund’s £61.2 million valuation of the Gabon international.

In turn, the player is understood to be receptive to linking up with Klopp again in a move which would signal a genuine statement of intent from Liverpool.

Aubameyang recorded 40 goals in 46 competitive outings for Dortmund last season as they finished third in the Bundesliga and lifted the German Cup.

Meanwhile Liverpool remain hopeful of securing a deal for Mohamed Salah with negotiations for the Roma winger set to continue into early next week.
