Mamadou Sakho is reportedly jeopardising plans for his Liverpool exit by insisting that he will only join Premier League clubs despite offers from Europe.
Galatasaray have emerged as the latest club to express an interest in signing the unwanted defender as he was condemned to a future away from Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp recently confirmed that Sakho will be offloaded as he no longer features in his first-team plans after being exiled to the Reds’ under-23 side.
But Turkish newspaper Hurriyet claim that the former France international has put paid to any prospect of him joining the Istanbul giants in January.
Sakho had been lined up by Galatasaray to replace Aureliaen Chedjou but agent Lyes Ghilas insists only offers from the English top flight are being considered.
However the 26-year-old turned down various offers from Premier League clubs last summer when Liverpool ordered him to pursue first-team football on loan.
Stoke City and West Brom, who are considering a renewed approach, both saw their offers turned down in August as did Galatasaray’s local rivals Besiktas.
