Liverpool have made an £11 million bid for Borussia Dortmund teenager Christian Pulisic.
Jurgen Klopp worked with the American winger during his time at Signal Iduna Park and is now keen on a reunion as part of his Anfield regime.
Pulisic, 17, has enjoyed a meteoric rise since he graduated to the club’s first-team and made his debut midway through last season.
Klopp’s decision to promote the Pennsylvania-born player during his time at Dortmund underlines his high stock with the Reds manager.
But despite also attracting interest from Stoke City but Dortmund remain firm in their refusal to allow the Bundesliga’s youngest scorer to leave.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will succeed in landing Pulisic, a full United States international, before the close of the transfer window next week.
