Liverpool have set Luis Alberto’s asking price at over £7 million amid interest from Sevilla.
Alberto joined the Reds from the current Europa League holders in 2013 but could be set for a return to La Liga as a host of clubs court his signature.
The midfielder enjoyed a spell in his homeland last season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna which alerted former side Sevilla, but Liverpool are unwilling to sell the player cheaply.
Anfield officials are preparing to recoup the original £6.8 million paid to the the club two years ago as they anticipate formal talks with officials from the Primera Division outfit.
