Paris Saint-Germain weighing up move for Liverpool FC’s Philippe Coutinho

Paris Saint-Germain have lined up Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho as a potential summer acquisition, according to reports.

The French champions are believed to be in the market for an attacking midfielder to fit into their favoured 4-3-3 formation- with doubts surrounding the future of Argentine playmaker Javier Pastore – and could turn to Liverpool’s Brazilian international as an alternative to top target Eden Hazard.

Le 10 Sport claim that after seeing a move for Hazard blocked by new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, the Ligue 1 champions have already contacted Coutinho’s representatives about a possible close season switch to the Parc des Princes.

The 23-year-old is thought to be intrigued by the prospect of a move to the French capital and a chance to play in next season’s Champions League, with PSG reportedly ready to pay a fee in the region of £46.3 million to secure the player’s services.
